Silly Me
You would think, after 1,400+ posts that I would have sense
enough to read the Forum before going someplace to which I hadn't been
in a while. I guess it must have been hubris on my part, but I didn't
bother and now I've paid the price. Had I bothered, KK, I doubtless
would have seen your post and would have given Love City at least a
look. As it is, I'll just have to learn the lesson and wait until my
next trip, which will probably be sometime in February.
You don't indicate, at least below, if you ever sampled the goods by taking anyone out of the place. If you did, was it a worthwhile experience? I must admit that it was for me at Spooks, worth the price tag. I was also told by one of the resident expats congregating at the Spooks' bar, that the number of streetwalkers has increase dramatically, and quite recently in CDO. I didn't bother to look, but I might check out that scene the next time I'm there. For those who might care about such things, the Mallberry, which is my favorite hotel in CDO, has begun construction on a new annex that will be completed sometime late next year. The good news is that it will make securing rooms at this very popular hotel, a bit easier. GE |

Cagayan De Oro Nightclubs
Quote:
"Good as Spooks was, the best show in town I found to be at New Oro “Love City”. This is in Cruz Taal Street, off Velez Street, and right behind Jollibee on Distoria. The entrance way is uninviting, up and around some steps. But you then enter a big spacious lounge with very comfortable seats. I counted about twenty girls and some were stunners. The stage shows were the most professional of all I have seen. The girls each did two dance routines with a clothes change between. Too often at these places the music is disjointed and crude. Here it was continuous and pleasant. Annabelle Neri is the manager and I had a chat to her congratulating her on the dancing choreography. She spends considerable time training her girls. 3000pesos for a take out, some at 2000pesos. For a 100 peso tip you can get a nice (bikinied) pussy grind! It was my pick of the many venues I called in at." But otherwise I agree with your assessment GE. I'll be back in the new year to continue my comparative samplings! KongKing |

Cagayan de Oro Update
I've been in CDO for the past couple of nights, and will be
traveling back to Davao later this morning---a drive that I do not
particularly relish. Prior to my arrival, I hadnt' been here in about
six months, so of course I went out on an inspection tour to determine
if anything much had changed since my last visit; it hasn't.
I went on Monday night to Spooks (pronounced Spokes by the Filipinos) and it remains, in my opinion, the best bar here. It is owned by an expatriate Brit who designed it to attract other expatriates, and that's pretty much who patronizes the place. There are 30 girls with the predictable range of looks, no cover charge, and a totally laid back atmosphere. Though the places is slightly worn, it's very comfortable, with vinyl couches and chairs, and there's no pressure at all. Ladies drinks are Php250, and regular drinks range from Php60 to Php120, so it's not expensive. The bar fine, which is typically for overnight, is Php3, 000 with no negotiation. The "show" is average; girls prancing around in panties and bras. I'm not sure if there's nudity later in the night because I didn't stay long enough to find out. Every taxi driver knows the bar so there's no hassle finding it. Last night I started out at the old stand-by Bada Bing. It was filled with local Filipinos nursing one beer and leering at the girls. One girl at a time comes out on the stage, does a desultory bump and grind and then leaves. Not really a friendly place, and, unlike Spooks, where the girls are scattered all over the room, it's impossible to assess the range of talent since the ladies seem to stay backstage till it's their turn to dance. I left after one drink and walked across to street to: Ontic, which has been renamed MigsZ. Again, I was the only expat around, and though the girls were sitting around at small tables, the place was too dark to see much of anything except the stage, which is well lighted. There's no particular warmth about the bar and, while everyone is friendly enough, you won't be overwhelmed by the service or the attitudes. I left quickly and walked up the street about 20 meters to: Fantastik, which has a different set up than all of the rest of the bars. There's a stage in front, with small, round aluminum tables and cheap chairs arranged in rows in front the the stage. This place features full nudity and appears to have a large number of women, but again, it's tough to tell because after they dance, they disappear to the back room or upstairs, so you never seem many assembled where the customers are. However, it's very friendly, and the mamasan is particularly eager to call over any dancer you fancy to come sit with you. This place has the same bar fine as Spooks, but it's strictly for short time. I don't know if longer term arrangements are possible. About 1. 5 blocks south of Spooks, there's another place called Mik and Mugs, but since it was virtually empty the last time I was here, and since I was relatively tired, I didn't peek in. There's also another bar, called Pyramid, that's about 10 minutes by taxi from Spooks. All of the girls there--and there are lots of them--must remain on the premises. There's no bar fine and no take out, but lots of VIP rooms. The prices are high though the place did seem to have better looking women than most. In my judgment though, the value for money is not good since there's no take out. In summary, nothing much has changed since my last trip. Ds,
I have to meet up with you and do some traveling to the spots you know there in PI! I mean, tour guide, security provider. What more could a guy ask for? . Oh yeah! Lots of young, beautiful, horny LBFMs! And I'm sure you would have no problem locating them either! : D HW |

Cagayan De Oro Dangerous???
Carmex,
Thanks for your Post. I chat daily with filipinas in CDO. I have not herd anyone comment on any incidents. Just, when will you come here? Like most places in the Mindanao, I found CDO primitive and NOT to my liking. But I never found it to be dangerous. Filipinos often want to be "helpful" or self important by giving us advice we did not need or want. In 1995 I was bringing a small group of American men with me to Zanboanga City. It was my 10th Trip to Zamboanga City; had made five trips there before anyone told me it was a dangerous place (ignorance is bliss). An older woman in the Restaurant of our Hotel overheard us taling about Zamboanga Cityand started the "too dangerous to visit" litany I had by now heard 100 times (they can blow me). Two of the guys are in a taxi in Cebu City and the driver tells them NOT to visit Zamboanga City. We hold a Meeting. One guy bakcs out and I arrange for him to stay in Cebu. The others agree to go ONLY because they know and trust me. I promise to hire bodyguards at my expense. We arrive and I depart for the "danger zone", the unprotected area outside the City. A lovely, young girl lives there who I have been fucking for several years now. Her entire Family on the male side is Police or Military. First I fuck the lady ( I mean, hell you gotta take care of "business"). Then, I go with her to speak to her Father and Borthers/Cousins to hire a few of them for protection. They laugh openly. Invite me and my american companions back there (outside the City and the Military protection ring) for dinner. Say, "tell your friends that we will be their bodyguards here". I go back to the Hotel, fuck my lady again (of course) and get the guys. We had a great three days/nights there that Trip. Dragon Slayer |

A Missed Opportunity
Carmex:
As you might have guessed, my take is that CDO is completely safe. It's too bad you decided not to go because it's a great town: clean, lots of restaurants and shops, friendly people, good hotels and clubs, and not stressful in the least. We have an office in CDO and I'm there frequently. In fact I'll be there the week after next for most of the week, with some day trips to Marawi and Iligan mixed in. Please let me know if you ever do decide to go there and want some advice on hotels and/or clubs. CDO is also a beautiful six hour drive or so from Davao, through some nice little towns in Bukidnon, like Valencia and Malaybalay, and some nice mountains. I think the micro climates probably change five or six times during the trip. The road is safe, but Filipino drivers are not, and its best to travel the road during the daylight hours. Though there are several "take out" clubs in CDO, many of them featuring full nudity on stage, my favorite recently has become "Spooks," which is pronounced "Spokes" by the locals. It's the only club owned by an expat--a Brit named Michael--and he's done a good job trying to make sure that expats are comfortable. There's no cover charge, unlike the other clubs, and while the girls are neither better nor worse than the others, there's an actual menu with real food. The drink selection is somewhat better as well. The other clubs include Bada Bing, Ontic, Fantastic and Gion, the latter three within 50 meters of each other, while Gion is within easy walking distance up the road. I think the bar fine is about Php3,000 or maybe Php500 more, which is all inclusive. These are not inexpensive places and can get very expensive if you're into buying multiple ladies drinks, but they're all quite safe. Limketkai Mall is the largest and newest, and trollers may have some luck there during the day and early evening hours. I don't know and I've never tried, but it's possible given the experience of others in different cities in the country with this type of approach. Right up the street from Limketkai there's a very nice area that's an easy walk, and that includes five or six different types of restaurants, offering indoor and outdoor seating. One of the restaurants, Bigby's offers Western food and has two branches in Davao. You can fly from Cebu to CDO in about 45 minutes, and the city is a really nice change from most of the destinations that seem to be favored by most of the guys. Oppotunity missed
Well, since you asked for the report, I will share it with you.
I was in Cebu about two weeks ago. Had fun there (check the regular Cebu thread), but was disappointed with the FH chicks I had met. Most were money grubbing who just looked at me as Mr. Kano ATM. So, my next trip was supposed to be to CDO to meet the girl below. So as I am checking out of the hotel, the security asks where I am going. They all know I am in the military and call me by my rank, which is pretty funny sometimes. I tell them I am going to CDO and they freak out. "No ________, do not go there, it is not good for you". Also the cab driver pulls up, (same one I have been using the whole time I was there), and he says the same thing. "Don't go to Mindanao, burning villages, exploding school busses, looting. Not good for you _______. " He says this as we are on the way to the airport. I tell them that I was in an elite military unit for many years and have been to many countries with hostiles. Albiet with a fire team of course! However, I do not have much intel on the place. I get to the counter at the airport and can fly to CDO in about an hour. Price was like 1200 pesos. But the counter girl also says, "don't go to Mindanao sir, very bad place for foriegner". So, I make the decision to go to Angeles and see babyko. Man you should have seen the nasty txt messages I got from CDO girl! Turns out she had this big feast/ welcome party planned for me. Had the relatives there as well as her students from the university etc. She was extremely distraught that I changed plans at the last minute. I told her there was a WAR going on in Mindanao, and as for being military, I was not supposed to go south of Cebu (this is true actually). She accepted this, but wanted to know why I was still in PH. So, more nasty txt messages and a don't talk to me again type stuff. Babyko in Angeles was great (bisexual), but I really felt a longing for the other girl. Now, after having found this forum, I do not think I would have made the same decision. Reading GE's reports on CDO, I think I could have met this girl and still had fun even if things didn't work out between us. We have started talking again and my interest is renewed. I know the subject of Mindanao saftey has been beat to death, but all commets are welcome. - |

Mindanao Women
Guys,
We need some posts on this Board. Since GE had a post concerning Dipolog City, the first shot is a 21 y/o Dipolog lady in the shower. Next are two bikini shots of a Ozamis lady with huge tits. Last is a cam shot I took two days ago of a 25 y/o in Cagayan De Oro City. I am very pleased that GoodEnough took time from his adventures in Cambodia to post on the recent incident in Davao City. If not, at least a few losers will accuse me of inventing it and making an unprecedented attack on Henny, owner of De Bonte Koe Restaurant. GoodEnough and I, in our Davao Posts, brought a multitude of people to Henny's. My "Nightmare on Rizal Street" Parts 1,2 &3 did more for his business than he has ever done himself. To think that Henny would pull this shit, get the phone number of R's new girlfriend and fuck her, makes me think he must be drinking his "mystery wine" which he sells for P95/glass (about what a bottle of it sells for retail). The old fucks, who sit for hours at his outside tables doing nothing but glaring at gorgeous women (they have none) and giving themselves lung cancer, can have the place. Dragon Slayer |

Dipolog
Guys,
I arrived in Dipolog this afternoon after a 1.5 hour Cebu Pacific flight from Manila. This was my first time using the new terminal and it was surprisingly hassle free. The terminal is extremely large, clean, air conditioned and altogether not too bad. The absence of people movers means that some of the walks to the gates are long, and of course in any developed country there would be people movers, but this aside, the experience was okay. This is my first time in Dipolog, which seems like a nice little city. Quiet and peaceful. It's aobut a 4-5 hour drive from both CDO and Zamboanga and I've got colleagues here who drove from each city with no problems at all, though I'm told there are lots of burned out homes, results of the recent fighting, on the Zamboanga-Dipolog stretch. I'm staying in the Camilla 2 Hotel, which has all of 29 rooms. It's quite clean and the rooms are not bad at all. There's a reasonably-sized cable TV, two beds--one about queen size and the other a single, a mini-bar, and a decent bathroom. There's a small restaurant in the lobby with a two piece combo at night that plays till 2 AM, and there's free Wifi in the lobby though not in the rooms. I think I'm paying about Php1,900 and I think breakfast is included. Tonight, I wanted to hit the town with one of my Filipino friends from work and he took me to a place called Rejoice, which he assured me, based on his numerous visits here, is the best place in town. The good news is that there were about 10 girls and about half of them were very cute. It's the usual dance routine. The girls dance in bikinis till about 10 and then the tops start to come off but not the bottoms. Here's the bad news. You cannot take the girls out until 2AM. If you want to do that it will cost you Php2,000 and the girl can stay with you until late in the afternoon, but she cannot leave earlier. I caused quite a stir when I entered as I don't think they've seen too many foreigners, My friend and I bought a total of 6 ladies drinks, and we each had a drink and the total bill was Php1,500. The place is friendly, laid back and there's no pressure at all to buy anything. I'm told that there are lots of other bars in town that do offer bar finds and instant exits with the ladies, but that those bars are small, the ladies unattractive and my friend was concerned that they might not be totally safe for me. Since I've worked with him a long time and trust his judgment, I took his advice and I do not plan to go near these places. I did pass several nice beaches here and I'm told there's a decent resort, but I have not seen it and do no know what it's called. All and all this seems like a decent little town to relax in, but it doesn't appear to be worth a side trip except perhaps as a curiosity. Aside from my colleagues from work I've not seen another foreigner here and I doubt that there are many. During the afternoon, I made a 40 minute trip deep into the bush to visit one of our sites and saw very little other than nice virgin forest. When I got to the town (more like a village) that was our destination, I was an instant celebrity, again because there are not many foreigners who visit here. There was no hostility whatsoever and the folks were extremely courteous and very gracious to me. I'll be here another night but doubt that I will write about the town again and I'm pretty sure I've seen what there is to see. Mindanao Posts
Kong King,
Thankyou for your post here. Same to GoodEnough and Bob Bowie. I have not gone anywhere but Davao City in recent times. My recent illness left me very weak. Now that i am back to normal, I want to again visit Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro, perhaps in late September. Dragon Slayer |

Useful Map Of Mindanao, Cagayan
City, Camuguin Island
One map I have found very useful is the:
Ez MAP of Mindanao It has the full map of Mindanao with many small towns. The towns usually coincide with the abbreviated letter you see on the kilometer markers up and down the highways of Mindanao. Also on the map is a full street map of Cagayan de Oro (and General Santos and Zamboanga -if you want to go to those places). As part of the street map you will find a listing of Landmarks; Hotels, Resorts and Inns; Restaurants etc. There is also a map of Camiguin Island. I have found this map very useful. So much so that I have misplaced, lost, ruined, three copies! You can buy the map at National Book Shop, (but not many other places). A good 99 peso investment, or thereabouts. The only problem with the map is you might need to also buy a magnifying glass, coz the printing is so small! KongKing |

Cagayan de Oro
It's been several months since I've been here, and I've sort of
missed the city. I did a tour of the major clubs a couple of nights ago
and figured, since there have been some changes, that some of you might
be interested. I'm staying, as always, at the Mallberry, just behind
Robinson's Department Store and, as has been the case since it's been
built, the place is totally booked. It's still the nicest hotel in CDO
in my opinion: clean, decent if somewhat spartan furniture, TVs that are
large enough so you don't have to quint, and very good service all
around. I think the price for my room is Php2,900.
One of the nicest things about this city is the fact that it's totally safe, so I had no qualms about wandering around alone. My first stop was the most well known bar, Bada Bing, which any taxi driver will know. It's relatively small and relatively dark and it used to be the best place in town. It was not however, on the night that I was there. There were very few ladies, and those that were available were of zero interest to me. There's a Php100 cover charged and the bar fine for "short time" is Php3,500--excessive, particularly in light of the quality that was on display. Next stop, across the street to Ontic's where it was much the same story, though at least there's no flight of endless steps to climb. The place was dark, with very few patrons and there were maybe 8 girls sitting around looking bored and texting away. Same deal as Bada Bing as far as bar fines and duration goes. Then up the street a few meters to "Fantastic KTV" which is just another bar with the same bar fines. The girls were a cut above those at the other two, but nothing much to get excited about. In all three places the mamasans were somewhat pushy though not overly aggressive. In all three places, I was the only foreigner but was never made to feel at all uncomfortable. Most of the guys were sitting around nursing their SMBs and watching the strip shows. All bars feature nude dancing, but for most of the girls, it probably would have been better to have left a little something to the imagination. After leaving the last place, I hopped a taxi to a new place, about a kilometer away, called Spooks, but pronounced Spoke by the locals. Actually it's not altogether new, but it was a first for me as I had never heard of it before. The place is the only bar (as far as I know) that's own by a foreigner. The owner is a British guy named Mike and I spent about 15 minutes talking to him. A thoroughly nice guy who said that his interest was to create a place were expats would feel comfortable. There's no cover charge, and the bar fine is Php3,000 which, according to him (and verified by subsequent experience) is for all night. He said his deal with the girls is that they can refuse to go with a customer but once they agree they must agree as well to stay the night. Ladies drinks are Php250 but there is not pressure at all to buy any. The place is clean, furnished with big, overstuffed arm chairs, and very comfortable. On any given night it's got 20-25 girls of highly variable quality. Mike said that he has an "expat brunch" every Friday afternoon for whoever is in town and invited me to go. However, I've got work to do and will not be able to attend. This is an extremely comfortable club. The night I was there, it was attended mostly by a local crowd though there were a couple of expats at the bar. If you turn right out the door of Spooks, cross the street and walk for a couple of blocks, there's another place called Mics and Mugs. It's a relatively small place with about 8 girls and I left quickly as the selection was not to my taste. Just to round out the experience, I also headed up to Gion, which used to be my favorite club here. As always, it was quite attracting, with large arm chairs and sofas. Unlike prior experiences however, it had very few girls and the mamasan was quite aggressive in urging me to buy drinks, take someone out, make a choice, etc. I left after about 10 minutes without even having a drink. I may have hit the place on an off night, but if not, the character has changed completely. So of the six places I hit, Spooks was definitely the best, at least on that night, by a wide margin. Bislig
I met a girl on the net the other day from Bislig. She said she
did not have Friendster (my first tip off they are a scam 99%) She said
she went to church every day and sang in the choir, ect..
I told her if she took the bus to Davao, the next day, I would pay for it. She would have to borrow the money for the trip to Davao, and I would pay her back and pay for the fare back to Bislig. After 3 times of telling me she had know money, I said ok, I guess you can not come. (this was 10pm at night, another warning sign, a good girl at the cafe this late?) I was also worried that she was listed as 5'5", the first sign that they are a dude is the height. If they are over 5' 4" I assume they are a dude unless proven otherwise. Well to my surprise, her mom lent her the 300 peso fare. And she did show up the next day. A hot, 23 year old was waiting for me at the Ecoland Bus Terminal. She wears no make up and does not need it. All of her stories checked out ( I have been here for 2 months now, I know a lot of the scammers tricks). So far she is on top of my list of the girls I have met, and It only cost me 600 pesos to bring her to Davao. It is only a 6 hour bus ride to Davao, in the middle of the night, they can sleep in the Air -cond. bus. Bislig- low risk, high reward EDITOR'S NOTE: I would suggest that the author or another Forum Member consider posting a link to this report in the Reports of Distinction thread. Zamboanga Revisited
I'm writing this using the free wifi connection in the restaurant
of the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zambo. I've stayed here probably dozens
of times. It's not fancy, but it's extremely clean, with decent
amenities, and the staff is very nice and pretty efficient. It's
probably the most secure hotel in the city, and it's building a huge
addition just to the rear of the swimming pool. The Japanese restaurant
has its own entrance at the lower portion of the building and its not
bad at all, though it's pretty noisy and slightly chaotic. The main
hotel restaurant off the lobby is standard Filipino food, which is
pretty awful but it's edible if you like that sort of stuff.
The club scene here has not changed at all. Passed by Super Star last night but did not go in. It looked busy. Did visit Blue Diamond and Kiss Me about which I've written in the past. The girls were definitely cuter at Blue Diamond, but of course this changes depending on which place has the freshest crop at any given time. Both are fine places to relax and have a drink. No one pushes you for anything, and the drinks are about Php100 for beer and coke. I do not know what the ladies drinks cost since I didn't buy any but they used to be about Php250. There are still not taxis available in Zamboanga, so if you're going to go out you're going to have to take a tricycle. Reasonably safe and very cheap, but not very fast or spacious or comfortable. Bislig City: CNN "Lit It Up"
Guys,
I would suggest a Trip to Bislig City. CNN did a progarm about three years ago calling it the "Cybersex Capital". It covered the preponderance of net cafes with private rooms (or just cheap curtains around a computer on a table) where the young girls, many of them co-eds would, for a fee, get totally naked on cam. It showd one young girl going to the bank to pick up the $$, returning to the cafe, getting back online with the guy, and getting nude on cam. I have never visited Bislig City. in 2003 I had a girl from Bislig travel 8hours to meet me in Davao City. She arrived four hours late and had a friend with her after promising NOT to bring anyone. It was then 11:30PM, I was sleeping. I told them to take the couch in the livingroom. Them spent the next 1/1/2 hours chatting in vasayan. In the morning I took them tobreadfast and they just sat together chatting in vasayan, ignoring me. I finally told them that i wanted them both to leave, which they did laughing hysterically, and leaving the door to my Suite wide open. I got solace knowing they had an 8 hour bus ride with no extra funds from me. It had to be unpleasant ( I sude hope so) after the long Trip there the night before. I do NOT FUCK AROUND. If I ask a girl to come alone and she agrees, she better come alone. On one other occasion the tramp broke this rule. She arrived in the morning, sloppily dressed, with a cousin. I threw 500 pesos at them and told them to leave immediately or I would have the Police there. They left. From what I have noticed on the internet, the Bislig ladies appear to be a bit "nasty" and more likely to get wild. It would be worth a Trip. Dragon Slayer |
